Gibbs & Soell has promoted Audra Hession to managing director of its New York office, plus new people in new roles at Landis Communications, Jackson Spalding and Robin Leedy & Associates.

NEW YORK—Gibbs & Soell has promoted Audra Hession to managing director of its New York office. Hession, who joined Gibbs & Soell in 1999 and was named a vice president in 2005, will be responsible for managing client service, office operations and staff development in New York. She currently oversees multiple account teams and has extensive experience serving consumer and business-to-business clients in the consumer lifestyle and building solutions industries. Prior to Gibbs & Soell, Hession held communications positions at Revlon Corporation and Exxon.

 

SAN FRANCISCO—Landis Communications has named Donna Berry director for client services. Berry brings nearly 18 years of experience in public relations including fashion and retail, consumer technology, telecommunications, consumer goods, hospitality, food and beverage and large-scale events. Prior to Landis, she operated her own public relations consulting business, InkSpot Public Relations, focused on strategy, media relations, events and social media for consumer and lifestyle businesses, and conducted campaigns for Wonderbra, Susan G. Komen for the Cure, Dockers for Women, MAC Cosmetics, and more. Her previous agency experience includes GCI Group in San Francisco, where she headed technology and telecommunications accounts.

 

ATLANTA—Jackson Spalding has tapped Bryan Jordin to lead its JS Creative web design and development team. He will manage and grow the firm’s burgeoning digital practice. Jordin was most recently a web developer at the Georgia Institute of Technology, building and maintaining external and internal-facing websites for the school’s Communication and Marketing Department as well as the College of Computing.

MT. KISCO, NY—Health and beauty PR specialist Robin Leedy & Associates has added Brittany Oat as digital content producer/account manager, responsible for RL&A’s new video production and content department. Oat worked most recently as an on-air reporter and fill-in anchor for Cablevision, after working in various capacities at local broadcast TV, radio and print news outlets, including WPTZ/NBC (Vermont), WSEE/CBS (Erie, PA), ABC News (Washington, DC), The Hartford Courant and more.
