NEW YORK—Peter Land, a veteran of AOL and PepsiCo, has joined Finsbury as partner based in New York. Land joins Finsbury from AOL, where he was responsible for all global internal and external communications. Formerly, as senior vice president of corporate communications at PepsiCo, he directed corporate media, digital operations and consumer relations for the company and led multinational brand initiatives for the beverage division. He also led all marketing functions at the Breeders’ Cup and was managing director at Edelman.

NEW YORK—Jeremy Jacobs has joined Abernathy MacGregor as managing director, responsible for providing financial communications counsel in mergers and acquisitions, proxy contests, shareholder activism, and other special situations. Jacobs joined from FleishmanHillard, where he served for five years as a senior vice president and previously spent 10 years at Joele Frank, Wilkinson Brimmer Katcher, most recently as a managing director.

BOSTON—Cone Communications has hired Lisa Manley as executive vice president of its corporate social responsibility strategy group. Prior to Cone, Manley served as the executive vice president of business and social purpose at Edelman where she oversaw strategy development, corporate reporting and philanthropy for brands including Darden Restaurants, HP, Humana, PricewaterhouseCoopers, SC Johnson, VF Corporation and Wrigley. Earlier, she served as group director for The Coca-Cola Company’s sustainability communications team.

LOS ANGELES—Ketchum has named Christy Salcido as director of the brand practice in Ketchum West. Salcido re-joined Ketchum, having first joined the firm out of college in 1992 and spent 10 years there as a consumer brand specialist. Prior to rejoining Ketchum, Salcido most recently served as senior vice president at Porter Novelli and before that as a VP at Chaya Restaurant Group, Emanate and Starbucks.

WASHINGTON, DC—Witt O'Brien's, a crisis and emergency management consulting firm, has hired Russ Williams as vice president, crisis communications. Williams joins the firm from Cohn & Wolfe where he was senior vice president, crisis and issues management. His corporate experience includes roles as national media spokesman for Delta Air Lines and director of media relations for energy company AGL Resources.

NEW YORK / PORTLAND, OR—Lane has hired Shane Stafford, who previously managed social media, email marketing, search engine optimization, online advertising and other tactics for Act-On Software and LPKF Laser & Electronics, as digital strategist. NEW YORK—Relevance New York has hired travel industry veteran Danielle Mileno to spearhead its expansion into the hospitality sector. Prior to joining Relevance, Mileno was a vice president at Zeno Group where she developed campaigns for travel brands including Virgin Atlantic, Starwood Hotels and Resorts and Rail Europe.
