WASHINGTON, DC—Lambert van der Walde, former capital markets advisor to the administrator of the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services during both the Bush and Obama administrations, has joined APCO's health advisory board. Earlier, van der Walde was an investment banker with Salomon Brothers, and worked in venture capital financing and as a fixed income portfolio analyst. He currently is president of Van Der Walde & Co., a healthcare finance and policy advisory firm.

SAN FRANCISCO—Lewis PR has appointed Stephen Corsi as vice president of digital marketing in the US. He will head the LEWIS digital services team based in San Francisco and will expand the agency’s range of integrated digital services. Prior to joining Lewis, Corsi was vice president and managing director for iCrossing where he was responsible for digital marketing strategies for brands including Bank of America, Fidelity Investments, GE and Mastercard.

CLEVELAND—Fahlgren Mortine has named vice president Christy Bykowski managing director of the firm’s Cleveland office. Bykowski joined Fahlgren Mortine in October 2011 and has more than 15 years of marketing and communications experience. Sshe previously owned her own firm, the Collective Image Group and before that served as a vice president at Cox Communications and held key roles at several Chicago-based public relations firms.

MIAMI—Schwartz Media Strategies has named Maria Argüello as social media director. Argüello previously served as founding community manager for Yelp Miami and contributing editor for Ocean Drive magazine. In her new role, she will implement digital and social media campaigns for Schwartz Media Strategies and clients within the firm’s real estate, hospitality, legal and financial services, consumer lifestyle, and destination marketing practices.

VIENNA, VA—Buffalo Communications, a golf lifestyle public relations, branding, and design firm, has promoted Janeen Driscoll and Stephen Reynolds to public relations director. Their responsibilities include directing Buffalo teams and developing strategic marketing, branding and social media programs for clients. Driscoll joined Buffalo in 2010 after a decade with Pinehurst Resort and 20 years in consumer PR and marketing. Reynolds oversees much of Buffalo’s international portfolio.
