PondelWilkinson has named Robert Jaffe, a senior vice president who joined the firm in 1999, as principal; plus new people in new roles at Southwest Strategies and JohnstonWells Public Relations.

LOS ANGELES—PondelWilkinson, an investor relations and strategic communications consultancy, has named Robert Jaffe, a senior vice president who joined the firm in 1999, as principal. Jaffe joins Roger Pondel and Rob Whetstone in the firm’s ownership team. Prior to joining PondelWilkinson, Jaffe was the senior investor relations officer at Los Angeles-based Herbalife International, and he was director of corporate communications and investor relations for IVAX Corporation, based in Miami.


SAN DIEGO—Kimberly Olive has been promoted to director of public affairs at Southwest Strategies, one of San Diego’s leading public affairs firm. Olive joined the company in August 2007 as an account executive after working on Capitol Hill in Washington, D.C., and most recently served as senior account executive. In her time at Southwest Strategies she has worked with a variety of clients, including Walmart Stores, North County Transit District, Pardee Homes and the City of Carlsbad.


DENVER—JohnstonWells has added Teresa O’Brien as an associate. Prior to joining JohnstonWells, O’Brien coordinated public relations for One Tribe Creative, a Fort Collins-based branding and marketing firm. She has also worked as a marketing intern for Association for Student Activity Programming at Colorado State University and a web design intern for the Colorado State University College of Liberal Arts IT office.
