Gibraltar Associates has hired Danielle Kazmier as a senior vice president, providing client counsel and strategic issues management advice, plus new people in new roles at Widmeyer Communications and Schwartz Media Strategies.

WASHINGTON, D.C.—Gibraltar Associates has hired Danielle Kazmier as a senior vice president, providing client counsel and strategic issues management advise, based in Gibraltar’s Washington, D.C., offices. For the past eight years, Kazmier has worked in both the corporate and public affairs practices at Burson-Marsteller’s New York, London and Washington, D.C., offices. Most recently, she counseled the Government National Mortgage Association (Ginnie Mae) on how to differentiate itself throughout the mortgage crisis.

 

WASHINGTON, D.C.—Chad Hyett has joined Widmeyer Communications as an assistant vice president and will serve in the firm’s health and wellness practice, bringing expertise in corporate healthcare and product marketing communications. Before joining Widmeyer Communications, Hyett worked for Fleishman-Hillard and led communications programs for clients including Pfizer, MedImmune, Novartis Pharmaceuticals, Kos Pharmaceuticals, Abbott, Forest Laboratories and Nutrition 21, among others. Hyett also worked for two other global agencies, Hill & Knowlton and Noonan Russo Presence Euro RSCG.

 

MIAMI—Alisha Marks has been named director of Schwartz Media Strategies, a Miami-based public relations and marketing firm, responsible for spearheading the firm’s national and regional media relations activities, and providing strategic counsel to its professional services and municipal affairs clients. Prior to joining Schwartz, Marks served as senior account executive for rbb and an account manager at Fletcher Martin Public Relations in Atlanta.
