WASHINGTON, DC—GolinHarris has appointed Jeff Ventura as executive director, media, in its Washington, DC, office. Ventura joins the agency’s g4 Connector community, focusing on strategic media relations guidance for healthcare, energy and climate, public affairs and corporate clients.  He reports to Susan Corsini, managing director, Washington, D.C. Before joining GolinHarris, Ventura served as director of corporate communications at CVS Caremark and was a press officer in the Office of the Commissioner for the United States Food & Drug Administration.

SAN FRANCISCO—Edelman Berland has appointed Jonathan Wibberley as senior vice president, leading the research operation’s new team in San Francisco. He will split his time between the Silicon Valley and San Francisco offices and will report directly to Mike Berland, global CEO of Edelman Berland. Wibberley most recently led the San Francisco Bay Area team at Penn Schoen Berland, the research arm of Burson-Marsteller.

LOS ANGELES—Eva Kandarpa Behrend has joined Kearns & West. An expert in stakeholder engagement, media relations and social media, she  brings over 12 years’ experience in government, policy, planning and land use, urban development, homelessness, the environment, and information technology issues. Behrend previously served as communications director for Los Angeles City Councilmember Jan Perry.

COLUMBIA, MD—Maroon PR has named Megan Pringle director of news and multimedia, responsible for the creation and development of digital content, including broadcast, online and web multimedia. Pringle has a diverse background in news markets all over the country. With approximately 15 years of experience, she has covered various topics from politics to crime to the red carpet. Most recently, she served as the morning news anchor for WMAR-TV, the local Baltimore ABC affiliate.
