SEATTLE—Waggener Edstrom has hired Alexa Rudin as senior vice president, consumer strategist, and Matt Haynes, vice president of social and digital strategies. Both will focus primarily on the Microsoft account. Rudin comes to WE most recently from Levi Strauss & Co., where she was the senior director of global public relations and communications for the Levi's brand. Haynes was most recently with Banyan Branch, where he was the director of strategy and engagement, partnering with more than 20 agency clients including Blue Cross Blue Shield, T-Mobile/Bobsled and Coinstar.
LOS ANGELES—GolinHarris has named Lisa Charlebois (pictured) as creative director, Chris Baccus as executive director, digital strategy, and Hugo Cabrera as interactive designer, as well as three dedicated writers: veteran journalist Valli Herman, technology writer Asami Novak and corporate/technology writer Elizabeth Winter. Charlebois joins after posts at Ogilvy in Toronto, New York and Los Angeles; Digitas; and BBDO. Baccus joins GolinHarris from AT&T, where he was the executive director of digital and social media.
NEW YORK—Wise Public Relations has hired John McCartney as director of media relations, a new role at the agency. McCartney will be responsible for leading the media relations programs and providing strategic communications counsel. He will report directly to Harrison Wise, founder and president. Prior to Wise Public Relations, McCartney served as US account director, earned media at Splendid Communications Group. Previously, he was at full service social media marketing agency Attention.
