HOUSTON—Edelman and Ketchum veteran Teresa Henderson (pictured) is joining Houston-based Pierpont Communications. Henderson, who has served as general manager for Edelman’s Dallas office since 2005, will be senior vice president and general manager for Pierpont in Dallas while also providing senior counsel for Pierpont clients in all four of the firm’s offices.

WASHINGTON, DC—Ayal Frank, veteran lobbyist and strategic communications professional, has joined Qorvis Communications as a managing director. Frank will act as Qorvis' first in-house lobbyist and will help expand the firm’s government affairs work. Frank previously served as the senior legislative assistant to former Representative James Maloney (D-CT) and supported the congressman's work on the House Armed Services Committee. He was also responsible for foreign affairs, trade and veterans' issues.

MONTREAL—MSL Canada has appointed Sophie Merven as vice president, consumer, in the firm’s Montreal office. Merven will be responsible for overseeing client relationships and consumer team accounts in the Montreal office and will join the Canadian senior management team. Most recently Merven was director for HKDP, and served in previous roles as senior consultant with Fleishman- Hillard Canada, communications advisor with BCP Consultants, and communications officer with Human Resources Development Canada.

LOS ANGELES—Tourism marketing firm Myriad Travel Marketing has expanded its New York City office with the addition of four new employees, including Kershing Goh, who was named vice president of Myriad Travel Marketing and was previously regional director for Singapore Tourism. In addition, Paul McDonagh, most recently with VisitBritain, and Shone Jemmott, formerly of Blaze PR in Los Angeles have joined Goh, handling trade and promotions and PR/branding respectively.

RALEIGH, NC—French/West/Vaughan has hired Hudson Haines, who has taken on a duel role of graphic designer and front-end developer for the agency’s clients. Most recently he was with PSM as a digital media specialist. James Bailey has joined the digital practice from Yep Roc Records. In addition,
