Environics Communications has hired Jeff White as a vice president in its Washington, D.C., office plus new people in new positions at Weber Merritt, Kearns & West, Padilla Speer Beardsley, Manning Selvage & Lee, Matter Communications and Arketi Group.

WASHINGTON, D.C.—Environics Communications has hired Jeff White as a vice president in its Washington, D.C., office. He will provide strategic counsel to association, nonprofit, and consumer brand clients. Before joining Environics, White was a vice president in the social marketing practice at Ogilvy Public Relations Worldwide, where his work included directing a national consumer outreach campaign for the Federal Trade Commission designed to educate consumers about how to recognize, report and prevent telemarketing fraud.


WASHINGTON, D.C.—Christine Nyirjesy Bragale has joined the public affairs practice of Weber Merritt, after serving the past 10 years as the international spokesperson and media relations director at Goodwill Industries International, the sixth-largest nonprofit organization in North America. Before joining Goodwill, Bragale spent a decade in the Washington, D.C. press corps, most recently at the Associated Press, where she helped launch the agency’s new television service, Associated Press Television News and then served four years as an assignment manager.


SAN FRANCISCO—Eric Poncelet has joined Kearns & West as director and senior mediator. Poncelet specializes in design, management, facilitation, and analysis of multi-stakeholder collaborative processes. His practice addresses marine resource protection, fisheries management, water conservation, water quality protection, and land use management issues, just to name a few.


MINNEAPOLISPadilla Speer Beardsley has hired Tony Morse as a director in its business-to-business technology practice. Morse will be responsible for business development, marketing and leading public relations programs for several of the firm’s technology clients. Prior to joining PSB, Morse was director of marketing, operations, sales and customer support for Safe Lites, a Minneapolis-based lighting technology manufacturer, and ran his own marketing consulting company, focusing on marketing program strategy and sales-coaching.


TORONTO—Manning Selvage & Lee has promoted Martha McKimm and Paul Keable to co-practice leaders of its consumer group in Toronto and Montreal.  McKimm, previously senior vice president, has managed numerous PR campaigns for the agency in the beauty, food, fashion and lifestyle categories. Keable takes on the co-practice leader role along with continued leadership of MS&L Digital in
