Francois Taschereau has joined Weber Shandwick general manager, Montreal; plus new people in new roles at DKC, Carmichael Lynch Spong, The Lippin Group, GolinHarris, Carolyn Izzo Integrated Communications, and Warschawski.

NEW YORKFrancois Taschereau has joined Weber Shandwick as executive vice president, Canada, and general manager, Montreal. He will report to Canadian president Greg Power, who joined the firm in July. Since 1996, Taschereau has experience as a PR consultant (National, Optimum and Edelman) and a corporate executive (Bell Canada, CAE and Hydro-Quebec).


NEW YORK—DKC has promoted Ed Tagliaferri, Juliet Horn, and Krista Pilot to executive vice presidents;

Katie Hart, Phil Crimaldi, Victoria Martinez, Brian Moriarty, and Marissa Mastellone, to senior vice presidents; and Jennifer DeMartino, Karen Silberg, Wallis Post, Debra Duffy, Eva Ross, and Louise O’Brien, to vice presidents.


MINNEAPOLIS—Martine Larson has been promoted to senior counselor at Carmichael Lynch Spong. She joined the firm in October 2007 as a senior associate. In her new role, Larson is responsible for providing strategy and counsel as an account manager for clients American Standard Heating & Air Conditioning, Jack Link’s Beef Jerky and Lutron Electronics Co. Earlier in her career, Larson was a member of the Fleishman-Hillard office in Minneapolis, where she led the agency’s Imation Corp. account and provided support to clients such as Target, CommVault and St. Jude Medical.


LOS ANGELES—Alexandra Lippin has been promoted to senior vice president of entertainment marketing, public relations and strategic communications firm, The Lippin Group.  Based at the company’s Los Angeles headquarters, Lippin will continue to be responsible for overseeing entertainment events, fashion and lifestyle communications public relations campaigns for a number clients in the U.S. Lippin also co-heads a division called Brand2Hollywood, which merges branded product, entertainment industry events and the media to develop creative campaigns.


CHICAGO—GolinHarris has appointed Linda Blakley as senior vice president of new business development.  Blakley will be charged with leading new business initiatives, including prospect development and outreach. She will work out of the agency’s headquarters in Chicago, reporting to vice chairman Ellen Ryan Mardiks. Previously, Blakley was senior director of public relations and brand  reputation for Walmart.


NYACK, NY—Carolyn Izzo Integrated Communications has hired Kate Wark as senior vice president. Wark will be responsible for the management of CIIC's top travel, tourism and luxury lifestyle accounts as well as new business development. She joins from Middleton & Gendron Public Relations, where as senior vice president she headed up PR campaigns for international brands and resort developments. She brings nearly a decade of experience in travel, real estate and lifestyle public relations to CIIC.


BALTIMORE—Warschawski has added Justin Barber as director of interactive design, responsible for the overall direction and execution of interactive campaigns and projects, including the development of websites and interactive campaigns for the agency’s clients.  Prior to joining Warschawski, Barber managed creative projects and work flow as the interactive design director at The Canton Group, a Baltimore-based business technology services firm.
