WASHINGTON, D.C.—The Aker Partners has joined forces with one of nanotech’s preeminent scientific consultancy firms to offer communications, risk management, and public affairs services. Aker is teaming up with NanoReg, a professional services firm founded by John DiLoreto, a career chemical engineer who created and directed the American Chemistry Council’s nanotechnology panel and who publishes NanoReg News, one of the industry’s top sources for nanotechnology news.

“Our partnership will help nanotech companies monitor, address and resolve the growing environmental, health and safety issues concerning nano-engineered products,” says DiLoreto. “It would be a tremendous loss to our society’s future if misconceptions about nanotechnology were the basis of government standards that could limit benefits offered by this sector.”

Together, the two firms will offer a range of services including reputation management; investor relations; public affairs; plus crisis and marketing communications.
