Alaniz Joins Rogers' Public Affairs Practice

Rogers & Associates, one of the largest public relations firms on the west coast, has hired Robert Alaniz as senior vice president in charge of the agency’s public affairs group.

LOS ANGELES—Rogers & Associates, one of the largest public relations firms on the west coast, has hired Robert Alaniz as senior vice president in charge of the agency’s public affairs group.

Alaniz comes to Rogers & Associates with more than 26 years of public affairs, political and media experience, including seven years with Hill & Knowlton Los Angeles, where he served as vice president in the public affairs group. Previously, he spent five years as press secretary for L.A. County Supervisor Gloria Molina. He has also served as director of public affairs at the L.A. Community Redevelopment Agency and as a reporter/producer for KCBS-TV. 

Alaniz has extensive experience in issues management, crisis communications, public policy advocacy, media and communications skills training. He has worked with clients in the automotive, environmental, health care, pharmaceutical, food and beverage, international trade, consumer products and entertainmental sectors, as well as with state and municipal government agencies.

According to Ron Rogers, chief executive officer.  “We believe Robert’s extensive political, campaign and media experience, coupled with a strong reputation in public policy advocacy and issues management, will enhance the agency’s award-winning public and private sector work.”

Alaniz’s will also work with Rogers & Associates’ Latino Strategies Group.  The firm currently handles Latino outreach for Health Net, First 5 California, the California Association for Bilingual Education (CABE) and other clients.
