LONDON – UK-based document management company Alfresco has selected Atomic to handle its communications as it prepares for an IPO in the US.

Atomic won the business following a competitive bid and will operate as the company’s AOR in the US and UK. Alfresco has worked with a number of PR agencies in both regions, including Lois Paul & Partners in the US.

Alfresco is currently amid a critical growth phase. Last month, Doug Dennerline was named its new CEO as the company moves forth with plans to go public on the NASDAQ. In line with this, Atomic is tasked with raising awareness around Alfresco’s customers that includes more than 3,000 enterprises, including Cisco and BT, totaling more than seven million users worldwide.

“We were attracted by Atomic’s track record of working with companies that are disrupting and transforming their industries,” said Todd Barr, CMO of Alfresco, said in a statement. “As we enter a new phase in our growth, we needed an agency that could support and grow with us.”

The account will be headed up by director Judy Wilks.
