SAN FRANCISCO—Allison & Partners has acquired the clients and employees of Blattel Communications, a California-based business-to-business marketing and public relations agency, to form Allison Blattel Professional Services Group, a division of Allison & Partners. The deal will expand Allison’s  professional services capabilities, while giving Blattel the national platform and resources to service clients throughout the country’s major business centers.

The Professional Services Group will be run by president and founder of Blattel Communications, Ellen Blattel, who has been appointed a partner of Allison & Partners and will work alongside co-founders CEO Scott Allison, COO Andy Hardie-Brown, and managing director, Scott Pansky.

“When we launched Allison & Partners almost five years ago, part of our vision was to secure strategic acquisitions that would augment our capabilities and we have long admired Blattel Communications as a true pioneer in professional services marketing,” said Allison.  “We believe we now offer the strongest professional services communications capability in the country. This will further accelerate the development of one of our fast-growing practice areas.”

In addition to Blattel, the agency’s management team consists of vice presidents Jen Gormley and Traci Stuart, who have both been with the firm for nearly 12 years. Blattel opened its Los Angeles office last year, spearheaded by legal marketing veteran Julie Hite, who joins Allison & Partners and will be located in its Los Angeles.

Allison & Partners now operates in five markets, including: New York, Washington D.C., Los Angeles, and San Diego and employs 70 professionals. Earlier acquisitions included the west coast operations of Connors Communications, technology PR specialist Davis Communications, and The Montgomery Group, a San Francisco firm founded by the late Steve Pisinski.
