SAN FRANCISCO—High-tech public relations agency Antenna Group has hired NanoBusiness Alliance co-founder Nathan Tinkers as director of its newly-formed New York office. Tinker will lead the company’s East Coast operations and direct the new industrial technologies practice, which includes nanotechnology, cleantech, advanced materials and energy.

In 2001, Tinker co-founded the NanoBusiness Alliance, a trade association for the nanotechnology industry, where he oversaw all communications, public relations and industry development initiatives. Prior to founding the Alliance, he was director of the business intelligence bureau at Niehaus Ryan Wong Public Relations. He is also author of more than two dozen reports and articles on the nanotech marketplace for public and private sector clients, including the governments of Taiwan, Japan, Germany, and the U.S.

“Antenna Group recognized the nanotechnology opportunity years earlier than most other public relations firms,” says Tinker, “Fundamentally redesigned industrial technologies will be the cornerstone of the next manufacturing wave, and I look forward to working with Antenna clients in this emerging field.”
