WASHINGTON, DC--Bronwen Kaye, former senior director of government relations for Pfizer, has been appointed as a senior advisor to APCO Worldwide's healthcare practice.

Kaye brings more than 25 years of executive-level experience in government relations for the healthcare sector. Prior to her role at Pfizer, Kaye served as senior director of government relations for Wyeth (now part of Pfizer). She was also director of government relations for Lederle Laboratories, the pharmaceutical division of American Cyanamid.

He arrival comes as APCO ramps up its healthcare capabilities. Earlier this year the firm named Helen Ostrowski and Liam Donaldson to new healthcare roles in the US and UK, respectively. Other executives in the practice include Colin Mackay, former communication and partnerships director for the European Federation of Pharmaceutical Industries and Associations (EFPIA); Kavita Patel, former director of policy for the White House Office of Public Engagement and Intergovernmental Affairs; Bill Pierce, former deputy assistant secretary for public affairs at the Department of Health and Human Services; and Wayne Pines, former associate commissioner of public affairs at the Food and Drug Administration.
