WASHINGTON, D.C.—APCO Worldwide is launching a new service focused on preparing clients for the communication challenges surrounding government oversight, regulation and compliance.

“With more oversight investigations and hearings under consideration in Congress, our knowledgeable and talented team offers a focused service not widely available,” says former U.S. Senator Don Riegle, who is co-chairing the practice with former national TV correspondent Kent Jarrell, who says: “The challenges are not only what happens when you’re sitting in the witness chair, but also how your messages are coming across in all forms of the media—from TV, to print, to online.”

APCO’s oversight team will help clients anticipate, plan and prepare for congressional hearings and investigations that affect their organizations and industries, as well as navigate closely through the political and legal and legislative process on Capitol Hill.

“The new Congress and leadership bring a renewed focus on congressional oversight,” says Robert Schooling, the firm’s Washington, D.C., managing director. “Our highly-specialized team has experience in helping businesses and organizations successfully navigate these challenging circumstances.”
