WASHINGTON, D.C.— Gad Ben-Ari, former media advisor to the late Prime Minister Yitzhak Rabin, has been named head of APCO Worldwide’s new office in Israel. Ben-Ari, most recently served as international director general of Keren Hayesod-United Israel Appeal, the largest and oldest fundraising organization in Israel, operating in 45 countries around the world.

“Israel’s high-technology and science industries continue to grow and create opportunities for Israeli companies to have expanded international business opportunities and for more foreign investment in the sector,” says APCO chief executive Kraus.  “We believe this expansion provides an exciting opportunity for APCO to leverage its global expertise and assist these companies as they seek partnerships, positioning, financial support and help entering new markets—both East and West.

“Our decision to open an office in Tel Aviv is part of APCO’s strategy to seek out growing markets globally and establish organic communication and public affairs consultancies in these high growth areas.”

Earlier this year, APCO announced a partnership with a Middle Eastern professional services firm to serve several Arab countries and the opening of the Tel Aviv office provides another avenue of growth in the region. This office is an important part of APCO’s ability to provide real insights into the complexity and challenges associated with the region.
