Asia, Latin America SABRE Deadlines Approaching

NEW YORK—The deadlines are fast approaching for two separate SABRE Awards competitions recognizing the best public relations campaigns from some of the world’s fastest-developing markets in Asia and Latin America.

Upcoming deadlines include:

Asia-Pacific SABRE Awards: July 31 (early deadline)|
Latin America SABRE Awards: August 17 (early deadline—late deadline extended until September 7)

Judges for the Asia-Pacific competition include agency leaders from across the region, including Amanda Galmes of Cannes Lion-winning Australian agency Fuel Communications; Jean-Michael Dumont of Ruder Finn; James Hacking, senior vice president of BlueCurrent; Motoko Kunita of Dentsu PR; Radhika Shapoorjee of Hill+Knowlton Strategies; and Richard Tsang of Strategic Public Relations Group.

4New judges in the Latin American competition include Marcelo Bicalho Behar of Natura; Serge Giacomo of GE Global Growth; Josh Shapiro of MSLGroup; Jeffrey Sharlach of The Jeffrey Group; and Nuria Villanova of Atrevia.

“Some of the boldest, most creative public relations work in the world is coming out of developing markets in Latin America and Asia, where companies are coming to realize the benefits of a well-managed reputation and a commitment to social responsibility, and marketers are looking to engage and build stronger relationships with their consumers,” says Paul Holmes, chairman of the judges for both competitions. “We are excited to see the best that each region can offer.”
