New business for Ruder Finn and Text 100; new people in new roles at Renault India and Boeing.

SHANGHAI—Ruder Finn has been awarded four large luxury clients: TOD’s luxury Italian leather goods; Girard-Perregaux high-end luxury watches; Belles Montres, a premier international watchmaker and collectors showcase; and De Grisogono a high-end jewelry brand from Switzerland. The firm will handle the publicity for Girard-Perregaux’s 220th Anniversary celebrations, driving the publicity leading up to the event in October and throughout the exhibit while it is open to the public.

CHENNAI—Renault India has appointed Rajiv Mitra as vice president, public affairs and communication reporting to Sudhir Rao, COO of Renault India. Mitra joins from Hyundai, where he headed the corporate communication function since 2006. Earlier, he had a 12-year career as an automotive journalist.

SYDNEY—Text 100 has signed a multi-country retainer with end-to-end talent management solutions provider Talent 2. The campaign will be led out of Sydney with teams also operating in Hong Kong, China, Singapore, UK and MEA. Text 100 will be providing a full range of both traditional and digital public relations services to Talent2.

SINGAPORE—Boeing has appointed Jay Krishnan as communications director for Southeast Asia. Krishnan was the key account manager on several aviation related accounts such as Embraer, Rolls-Royce and Singapore Aero Engine Services during her tenure with Grayling public relations in Singapore. She also played a role in setting up the external communications function of Maersk Line, Southeast Asia in her role as assistant general manager.

BEIJING--Edelman is bolstering its public affairs practice in China with the appointment of Leon Li as director. Li joins Edelman after working in several roles across the private and public sector, including the Ministry of Commerce in China, HSBC Holdings Plc in England, the International Monetary Fund in the United States, and the Chinese Embassy in Argentina.
