New people at Text 100; M2.O joins PROI; new business for BlueCurrent, Pulse.

KUALA LUMPUR—Text100 has appointed Vijayaratnam Tharumartnam as managing consultant for Text100 Malaysia. He will lead the agency’s operations in Malaysia, managing a team of 30 consultants. Tharumartnam was the vice president of corporate communications at Multimedia Development Corporation, where he was responsible for communications strategy for MSC Malaysia. His previous experience also includes the role of vice president of communications at HSBC Global Resources (UK) and setting up the corporate communications division at BMW Group Malaysia.

MANILA—M2.O Communications has become a PROI Worldwide partner agency, joining a network of more than 65 firms from around the world. The firm specializes in business, technology and lifestyle communication, with emphasis on media relations, stakeholder management and digital communication. Founded in 2003, M2.0 has expanded from a one-man company to a team of more than 30 specialists.

TOKYO—GoPro, maker of versatile cameras and enabler of user-generated content, has entered into a partnership with the Japanese arm of BlueCurrent Group, the influencer marketing firm owned by FleishmanHillard. BlueCurrent will create and lead proactive marketing and social campaigns to connect Japanese consumers with the GoPro brand and will support the sales growth through online to offline channels.

SYDNEY—Conga Foods, parent company of brands including Val Verde, Moro Olive Oil & Vinegar, DC Coffee, Sole Mare Tuna and Green Valley, has appointed Pulse Communications, part of Ogilvy PR Australia, as its consumer agency of record following a competitive review.
