SYDNEY—Ogilvy Public Relations Australia has appointed former PayPal communications executive Adrian Christie as a director, overseeing the consultancy's social, content and digital practice, [email protected], and leading the Microsoft account as key client relationship manager. Most recently Christie was with PayPal as director of communications, managing corporate communications, brand engagement, social media and media relations.  Prior to PayPal he spent time at Porter Novelli New York as a senior vice president and five years at Sony PlayStation as head of communications.

KUALA LUMPUR—GO Communications, Malaysia, has entered into a strategic partnership with Regional Public Relations  in India. The partnership will see the exchange of knowledge, resources and personnel between the two agencies and associates within the GO Group, a leading independent public relations, marketing and strategic communications network with more than 15 affiliated agencies in Singapore, Thailand, Laos, Cambodia, Vietnam, Philippines, Indonesia, Sri Lanka, Japan, China and Hong Kong.

SYDNEY—WE Buchan has strengthened its digital and consumer practices with the appointments of Josie Schwarzer and Jen McDermott as digital lead and account director respectively. Schwarzer joins WE Buchan from Edge and has more than nine years’ international experience in content marketing and public relations. McDermott was senior public relations manager at The Travel Corporation where she was responsible for driving its PR strategy across its family of brands in Australia.
