SYDNEY—Professional Public Relations has been appointed as public relations agency for the Australian government’s Smartraveller travel advisory and consular information service. PPR Sydney’s travel and tourism team, will work with government relations experts at PPR Canberra to deliver a broad range of services over the 12 month campaign and move stakeholders from awareness to actively engagement with the program.

HONG KONG—Ryan Financial Communications, a corporate communications specialist for the financial services industry based in Hong Kong, is opening a Singapore office amid rising demand from clients for support in South-East Asia. The office is headed by Aston Tan, who joins Ryan from PEI Media, a private equity trade publication, where he was a journalist.

BANGALORE—Vinu Lal has been appointed as head of corporate communications for ING Vysya Bank. He previously was senior assistant editor at the Economic Times in Bangalore. He has close to 15 years of experience with titles such as The Times of India and Indian Express, and led India coverage for the Financial Times Group’s news agency mergermarket.

PERTH—Sydney-based Magnus Investor Relations + Corporate Communication has formally launched its Perth office, expanding the firm’s reach and adding to its existing presence in the Western Australia market.
