SINGAPORE—Ashley Knapp, a specialist in corporate and consumer PR, is joining APCO Worldwide as a director for its Southeast Asia business, based in Singapore. Knapp joins APCO from Grayling, where she led their corporate and consumer client portfolio in Asia Pacific. She has more than eight years of experience in pan-regional work, supporting companies such as Diageo, British Airways, Qantas, Embraer and Unilever.

NEW DELHI—Fleishman-Hillard International Communications has appointed Rahul Mehta as senior vice president and general manager in New Delhi. Mehta brings more than 14 years of agency and corporate experience to the position. Before joining Fleishman-Hillard, he was branch head of Corporate Voice | Weber Shandwick in New Delhi, and previously worked at agencies such as Genesis Burson-Marsteller and Good Relations.

SINGAPORE—Strategic Public Relations Group Singapore has retained its appointment as the public relations agency of record for Hasbro Singapore following its completion of several campaigns over the past year. SPRG will provide strategic communications counsel, media relations and oversee publicity initiatives for Hasbro within the Republic for 2013. In 2012, SPRG handled publicity for the Resorts World Sentosa Singapore Transformers Cybertron Convention 2012 and the launch of the world’s first two-sided Monopoly board game, developed by Hasbro Singapore.

SINGAPORE—Professional social networking site LinkedIn has appointed Roger Pua as director of corporate communications, Asia-Pacific and Japan, reporting to vice president of corporate communications Shannon Stubo in its global headquarters in California. Pua was most recently vice president of global communications and marketing, APMEA for Nielsen and earlier worked at GE Capital and Citi Investment Research.

SYDNEY—Pulse Communications has been appointed as UBank’s PR agency following a competitive three way pitch. UBank is a division of National Australia Bank, based online. Pulse Communications will play a role in supporting UBank’s social and traditional media programs by developing creative campaigns that will raise awareness of UBank in the competitive home loans market.

GUAM—United Airlines has named Ruder Integrated Marketing Strategies as its regional public relations agency of record for Guam and Micronesia following an extensive agency search. RiMS will address local and regional civic and community PR programs and issues. The account will be run out of the RiMS office on Guam and will be managed by Sally Malay, manager of account services, PR and events. Steve Ruder, president of RiMS, will provide strategic oversight.
