Raymond Siva has joined Edelman in Kuala Lumpur as managing director, plus a new PR director at Langham Hotels and a new business win for Text 100 China.

KUALA LUMPUR—Raymond Siva has joined Edelman in Kuala Lumpur as managing director. After six years managing the business, Karen Hoh moves into a dual role as client services director and senior counselor to the health practice in Southeast Asia. Previously general manager for Grey Two PR, Siva has more than 15 years of experience in corporate reputation management, brand marketing and sports marketing public relations.


HONG KONG—Langham Hotels International has appointed Amy Ho as director of public relations (Asia) to drive awareness of the luxury hotel group as it expands its footprint in the region. Ho will develop publicity campaigns to maximize media coverage for the group’s operating hotels and new properties in the region. She will also be responsible for media exposure in key feeder markets, including China, Thailand and Singapore. She previously worked at Ogilvy Public Relations and international beauty brand Estée Lauder.


BEIJING—Singapore-based real estate capital management company Mapletree Investments has appointed Text 100 as PR agency for the December 2010 opening of its first China retail property, VivoCity in Xi’an, one of the largest multi-tenanted shopping malls in Xi’an. Text 100 is charged with launching Mapletree and VivoCity into China and in particular, Xi’an’s business and social communities. Text 100 will also build pre-opening anticipation and sustain awareness of VivoCity as a unique shopping, dining and entertainment destination.
