Fortune opens in Singapore; FleishmanHillard, Edelman, Sefiani and Cohn & Wolfe add clients; Mileage joins healthcare network.

SINGAPORE—Fortune PR, one of the largest public relations firms in Indonesia with 100 people in its Jakarta headquarters, has opened its first overseas office in Singapore. Fortune PR Singapore is led by Benjie Ng (pictured). In the short-term, the new office will focus on handling Singaporean companies expanding to Indonesia and Indonesian companies expanding to Singapore. In the long run, the firm will develop communications strategies for Singaporean and Indonesian SMEs and non-profit organizations.

HONG KONG—FleishmanHillard has been chosen to provide strategic communications and media relations advisory support in Hong Kong for The Nature Conservancy, a US charitable environmental organization that works to preserve the lands and waters on which all life depends. According to Louisa Ho, corporate and marketing director, Asia Pacific, at TNC. “We have been in the region for more than 20 years and are expanding our work in Hong Kong, aiming to launch a campaign to engage and educate the public about the importance of learning about and supporting environmental conservation and sustainability. Our key goal is to empower individuals to be a catalyst for change both for the community and the regions beyond.”

SINGAPORE—Castlewood Group, a Singapore-based developer offering investors opportunities in luxury buy-to-let hotel developments within Asia, has appointed Edelman as its agency of record. The appointment will see Edelman devise an integrated communications campaign encompassing corporate reputation, CEO profiling, digital engagement, events management, and media relations.

SYDNEY—–Sefiani Communications Group has been appointed public relations agency for law firm Henry Davis York—known for its specialisation across the government, and banking and financial services sectors—following a competitive three-way pitch process. Sefiani’s specialist professional services group will assist Henry Davis York develop and implement a strategic communications program in support of significant transformation the firm has recently undertaken. 

SINGAPORE—Mileage Communications Group has joined the GlobalHealthPR network of independent agencies as its 17th member. Mileage will add 12 offices in seven Asian countries to the current network. Besides Singapore, Mileage office locations include China, Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand and Vietnam.

HONG KONG—The Hub, an invitation-only, branded and designer fashion trade show, has turned to Cohn & Wolfe-impactasia to develop and manage its public relations activities in Hong Kong for its debut in August this year. The firm will provide strategic counsel alongside a number of ongoing tactical PR initiatives.
