SYDNEY—Veteran journalist Emma Connors has joined Ogilvy PR as senior media strategist for health and corporate. Connors joins Ogilvy PR after 17 years with the Australian Financial Review, where she wrote for the country’s only national business daily and sister publications BOSS and AFR Magazine. Prior to joining the AFR, Connors worked as a magazine journalist and editor in London and
Sydney.

HONG KONG—Bite has promoted Karen Coleman to general manager for Bite Australia, while Rosemary Merz is appointed general manager for Hong Kong. Both previously held the role of group director in their respective offices. Karen Coleman joined the company in 2007 as a consultant and takes on full team responsibility for Bite’s Australia business, while Merz takes charge of Bite’s biggest office in the region, comprising dedicated communications and digital marketing teams.

SYDNEY—Sefiani has promoted Francesca Boase to director.  Boase has also become a shareholder of the firm, along with Robyn Sefiani, Sarah Craig and Nicholas Owens. She leads the firm’s professional services practice.
