Weber Shandwick has appointed Ian Rumsby chairman of Weber Shandwick Australia, plus new people in new positions at MS&L Group and Chrysler China.

SYDNEY—Weber Shandwick has appointed Ian Rumsby chairman of Weber Shandwick Australia. The news follows the recent appointments of Elke Pascoe to head of lifestyle and Carly Herrig to head of corporate. Emma-Jane Granleese continues in her role as managing director of the operation.Rumsby will continue his existing role as executive vice president of strategic development for Asia Pacific, reporting to Asia Pacific chairman, Tim Sutton.

 

NEW DELHI—MS&LGroup has hired Gaurav Mishra as director of digital and social media for the Asia region. Mishra will focus on building capability in social media marketing and online reputation management across all Asia staff and offices, and work with clients to develop best-in-class social media programs. Previously, he held senior marketing roles at TATA Group, led research on social media trends and taught a graduate course on social media. Most recently he served as CEO and co-founder of 2020Social, a social media consulting firm.

 

SHANGHAI—Chrysler China has appointed Gu Yingjia as director of corporate communications. Gu will handle public relations matters, including brand and product promotion and internal communications. Previously, she worked at Ford China Investment Co. and General Motors China Investment Co.
