The Hong Kong office of GolinHarris has appointed Jeremy Walker as head of sports marketing and branded entertainment , plus new business successes for Eastwei Relations and Weber Shandwick.

HONG KONG—The Hong Kong office of GolinHarris has appointed Jeremy Walker as head of sports marketing and branded entertainment in a partnership with IPG sister sports marketing and sponsorship consulting company Octagon. Walker also takes on the role of Hong Kong business development director for Octagon, reflecting the growing collaboration between the two businesses. Prior to joining GH, Walker operated Leisure Resources, a boutique sports marketing consultancy based in Hong Kong.

 

BEIJING—Bailian Ivanhoe Shopping Center has appointed Eastwei Relations its PR agency of record for the opening of La Nova Shopping Center in Changsha, the capital of Hunan province. Eastwei's brief includes building basic awareness for La Nova and its concept of a "one-stop shopping experience" in Changsha and surrounding areas. PR work includes journalist education, media outreach and store opening campaigns.

 

SHANGHAI—ArvinMeritor, a global supplier to commercial truck, trailer and specialty original equipment manufacturers and certain aftermarkets, has chosen Weber Shandwick to launch a brand campaign in China following a competitive pitch.Weber Shandwick has been working with ArvinMeritor on a retainer basis since 2007 and was selected for the new brand campaign for its expertise in the technology and public affairs industries and strategic communications planning.
