SHANGHAI—The Holmes Group will hold its third annual Asia-Pacific SABRE Awards at the Mandarin Oriental in Shanghai on September 18, following a ThinkTank Live conference at the same venue earlier in the day.

The awards dinner will recognize our 2013 Consultancies of the Year, announced earlier this year, and the winners of our Asia-Pacific SABRE Awards, selected from a record haul of more than 1,000 entries from around the region.

Those entries are currently being judged by a panel of experts, including senior corporate communications professionals from AIA Group, The Body Shop, Microsoft, Philips, Prudential, Rolls Royce, Sony, Wrigley and Yahoo!, as well as more than a dozen of the regional leading public relations firms.

Finalists will be announced next weekend.

The ThinkTank Live, conference, will be presented in partnership with BlueFocus Consulting and the China International Public Relations Society, and sponsored by Edelman, FleishmanHillard, and Weber Shandwick. Speakers will include Huntworth chief executive Lord Chadlington, Oscar Zhao of Blue Focus, and Kaiser Kuo of Baidu and topics will include the growing importance of digital and social media in Asia and the spending habits of the growing Chinese middle-class.
