Atlanta PR Veteran Launches New Agency

Nick Gold, a press secretary for two Atlanta mayors during the city’s pre- and post-Olympic period, has launched Gold Concepts Public Relations to provide strategic counsel to clients in the areas of media relations, crisis communication, community relations, public affairs and special events.

ATLANTA—Nick Gold, a press secretary for two Atlanta mayors during the city’s pre- and post-Olympic period, has launched Gold Concepts Public Relations to provide strategic counsel to clients in the areas of media relations, crisis communication, community relations, public affairs and special events.

Gold has more than two decades of experience in the public relations industry in both the government and corporate arenas. Following his 12-year career at City Hall, he joined AGL Resources, an Atlanta-based energy services holding company, where he served as chief spokesperson for the publicly traded corporation.

In addition to Gold, the team at GCPR includes vice president Louise Plonowski, who previously directed the marketing and public relations activities for KLM Royal Dutch Airlines for the Southeastern region of the United States.
