FARNBOROUGH, UK—US software player Autodesk has shifted its UK PR business from Whiteoaks to Brands2Life.
The move follows a competitive review that is understood to have included at least three other firms, in addition to Brands2Life.
Best known for its 3D design, engineering and entertainment software, the agency shift comes as Autodesk broadens its proposition to pursue mainstream audiences.
In addition to is core business software, which is regularly used to design construction projects and power visual effects, Autodesk has also begun rolling out a number of consumer products in recent years, including Socialcam and Sketchbook. Autodesk currently has 21 apps in the Apple App Store, although they make up a marginal proportion of the company's $2.2bn in revenues.
Autodesk European PR head Christina Schneider, who joined the company from HP last year, confirmed the development.
