Aventis Vet Stokke Joins MS&L Healthcare

Manning Selvage & Lee has hired Doug Stokke as a senior vice president in its New York healthcare practice. Stokke joins from Aventis Pharma where he was director of global product communications.

NEW YORK—Manning Selvage & Lee has hired Doug Stokke as a senior vice president in its New York healthcare practice. Stokke joins from Aventis Pharma where he was director of global product communications and has over 20 years of communications experience, most of it in research-based medicine and the pharmaceutical industry. 

At Aventis, Stokke was responsible for mobilizing the Aventis global communications network in support of strategic communications initiatives as well as directing the creation and implementation of those programs. He handled communications for products spanning a variety of therapeutic areas including oncology, thrombosis, asthma/allergy, cardiology, diabetes and anti-infectives. 

Prior to joining Aventis, Stokke served for nearly eight years as director, U.S. product communications at Glaxo Wellcome, responsible for communications related to the company’s HIV portolio, oncology and gastrointestinal products.

“Doug’s background closely mirrors both the expansive nature of the work we do and the diverse clients we represent,” said Wendy Lund, senior vice president and practice director for MS&L’s New York healthcare practice.  “He will be a tremendous asset in helping our team continue to understand the complex issues our clients face.”
