Avis Taps MWW for Anniversary Celebration

The MWW Group has been retained by Avis Rent A Car System to lead public relations for the 40th Anniversary of its “We Try Harder” branding.

EAST RUTHERFORD, NJ—The MWW Group has been retained by Avis Rent A Car System to lead public relations for the 40th Anniversary of its “We Try Harder” branding. MWW’s consumer marketing practice is leading media relations, cause marketing and event planning for the anniversary campaign and celebration. 

MWW has previously handled public affairs assignments for Avis in Los Angeles and New Jersey.

As part of the campaign, MWW orchestrated a partnership between Avis and the Points of Light Foundation & Volunteer Center National Network, a national non-profit organization that is a leading advocate for community service and volunteerism. The firm is also implementing a media relations campaign surrounding a new Avis’ consumer promotion entitled “Who Tries Harder.”

 “‘We Try Harder’ is more than a slogan, it is a business philosophy that defines Avis and our approach to customer service,” said Ted Deutsch, vice president of communications/public affairs at Avis Rent A Car System, Inc.  “We are working with the team at MWW to roll out a program that generates greater awareness for the brand and our industry-leading approach to service.”
