BAE Systems Names Reilly Fitch to Lead Communications

Lucy Reilly Fitch has been named vice president of corporate communications for global defense and aerospace company BAE Systems. Previously, Fitch was the company's vice president for mergers and acquisitions.

ROCKVILLE, MD—Lucy Reilly Fitch has been named vice president of corporate communications for global defense and aerospace company BAE Systems. Previously, Fitch was the company's vice president for mergers and acquisitions.

 

Since joining BAE Systems in 2000, Fitch has led both the strategy and M&A functions, working on more than $9 billion of acquisitions. Prior to joining BAE Systems, she was the director of business development and strategic planning for Lockheed Martin's aeronautics sector in Bethesda, Maryland. Previous posts include vice president of business development at ManTech Systems Solutions Corporation, and manager of strategic analysis at Hughes Aircraft Corporation (now Raytheon Company).

 

Before joining the defense industry in 1993, Fitch was an award-winning business journalist for a variety of publications including Washington Technology, King Publishing's New Technology Week, and the American City Business Journals group.
