Banking Committee Veteran Joins Ogilvy in D.C.

Andrew Gray, longtime communications director for the U.S. Senate Committee on Banking, Housing and Urban Affairs, has joined Ogilvy Public Relations Worldwide’s Washington office as an account director in the public affairs practice.

WASHINGTON, D.C.—Andrew Gray, longtime communications director for the U.S. Senate Committee on Banking, Housing and Urban Affairs, has joined Ogilvy Public Relations Worldwide’s Washington office as an account director in the public affairs practice. Previously, Gray served as deputy press secretary in the personal office of Senator Richard Shelby (R-Ala).

Gray has experience with financial services, housing and transit issues. At Ogilvy, he will focus on government relations, financial communications and public affairs issues facing the firm’s clients.

Gray served as the Senate Committee’s communications director for four years and was the principal liaison to the media for all of Sen. Shelby’s activities as they relate to the Senate Banking Committee which passed numerous pieces of legislation, including Fair Credit Reporting Act, reauthorization of the Terrorism Risk Insurance Program and legislation to reform the regulatory structure of the Housing Government Sponsored Enterprises.
