Barr to Lead New York Financial Practice for H&K

Hill & Knowlton has hired Ryan Barr as senior vice president and director of investor relations and financial communications for its New York office. Barr has held senior management roles at Atari, Medialink Worldwide and Brainerd Communicators.

NEW YORK—Hill & Knowlton has hired Ryan Barr as senior vice president and director of investor relations and financial communications for its New York office. Barr has held senior management roles at Atari, Medialink Worldwide and Brainerd Communicators.

As head of H&K’s New York financial relations specialty group, Barr will focus on financial communications, investor relations, transaction communications, and general corporate positioning on behalf of the firm’s clients.

Prior to joining Hill & Knowlton, he served as vice president, corporate communications of Atari, where was responsible for all of the company’s external and internal communications efforts, including investor and media relations, corporate positioning and special events. In addition to his traditional communications role, Barr led Atari’s funding activities, including securing capital through PIPEs and asset divestitures.

Previously, Barr served as director of corporate development and communications of Medialink Worldwide, where he was responsible for all aspects of the corporate communications function of the company, including investor relations, public relations, corporate marketing and advertising, and was a vice president with Brainerd Communicators.
