Bell Pottinger to Help Promote Marrakesh Tourism

As part of a global initiative to promote Marrakesh as a travel destination, the Moroccan National Tourist Office has selected Bell Pottinger Business & Brand, part of the Bell Pottinger Group, to run the RedM By Marrakesh campaign in the U.K.

LONDON—As part of a global initiative to promote Marrakesh as a travel destination, the Moroccan National Tourist Office has selected Bell Pottinger Business & Brand, part of the Bell Pottinger Group, to run the RedM By Marrakesh campaign in the U.K. The firm will be responsible for increasing awareness of Marrakesh’s tourist and cultural attractions, via a tailored media relations and events program.

 

The RedM By Marrakesh campaign, which was activated this month, aims to educate U.K. media on the attractions of Marrakesh, via escorted press trips, press briefings and press releases, highlighting the key regions of the city and the facilities on offer for those looking for luxury, adventure, sport and family holiday experiences. A highlight of the campaign will be ‘Red Night’ an exclusive party in central London, set to be hosted by a celebrity figure with links to Marrakesh.

 

According to Ali El Kasmi, director of MNTO for UK & Ireland: “This new campaign will showcase Marrakesh as the truly amazing city it is; there is nowhere on earth quite like it. Engaging with the media in this manner is the perfect way of getting the message out there as to what Marrakesh has to offer.”

 

The international campaign will be led by Paris-based agency Le Public Système.
