PALO ALTO, June 22—Paul Bergevin, former head of the global technology practice at Edelman Public Relations Worldwide, has joined Citigate Cunningham as managing director of business development. According to Citigate Cunningham chief executive Andy Cunningham, Bergevin will be charged with growing the agency in the U.S. and building its presence abroad while creating alliances with the firm’s sister companies within the Citigate group.

Bergevin was most recently vice president, corporate marketing, at Certive Corporation—a startup delivering a hosted practice management system to independent professional service firms. Prior to that, he led the development of Edelman’s global technology PR practice, leading teams for clients such as CKS, Apple Computer and PeopleSoft. Bergevin joined Edelman after eight years at IBM, where he was director of public relations.
