LONDON—Bite Communications has won the launch brief for the Virgin Group’s first new company in the U.K. for three years: Virgin Digital Help, which has been set up to help British consumers solve digital problems—including issues with computers, wireless routers, smartphones, and gaming devices—with downloadable self-help tools, online and phone support, and home visits.

Bite’s brief will see it work directly with marketing and customer service director Tim Dowling and CEO Joe Steel to deliver a core on and offline launch program, through a mix of creative ideas and core research.  The first initiative involved driving media relations activity in the consumer lifestyle and technology press during the Christmas gift-giving season.

The account will be headed by Rachel Gilley, director.
