DALLAS—Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport, the third busiest airport in the world, has chosen Burson-Marsteller as its agency of record for a three-year contract period. Burson-Marsteller and two partner firms—Ware & Associates and ATS—were selected as part of a competitive bid process that included 52 firms.
The account had been handled for the past two years by Knoxville-based Ackermann PR.
DFW Airport is celebrating its 30th anniversary, and Burson-Marsteller will focus on national and international media relations for the airport’s business operations and promoting several important expansion plans over the next twelve months, including a new international terminal, a state-of-the-art people mover system called SkyLink and a new Grand Hyatt hotel and spa housed within the international terminal.
According to Ken Capps of DFW Airport, Burson-Marsteller was awarded the contract as a result of “its unique knowledge in the aviation industry, its creative approaches for upcoming events and ability to work with local women- and minority-owned businesses.”
