SAN FRANCISCO—Enterprise management solutions company BMC Software has selected Ogilvy Public Relations Worldwide as its agency of record in India. Ogilvy will develop communications strategies and programs to raise the profile of BMC Software to attract and recruit talent for the company’s fast growing development centre in Pune. The communications program will include elements of traditional media and industry analyst relations to raise customer and channel partner awareness.

“Ogilvy PR’s strong combination of domain expertise in technology, combined with proven, solid experience in the Indian subcontinent, was a strong fit for our needs,” says Mark Stouse, BMC’s global corporate communications leader. “India is a critical and strategic market for BMC, employing more than 750 research and development staff and expanding rapidly. Ogilvy PR demonstrated throughout the evaluation process that it understands our business, the market and what we are trying to achieve.”

Ogilvy PR is currently BMC Software’s agency of record in a number of countries in Asia-Pacific, with work conducted by subsidiaries and affiliates H-Line in China, Taiwan and Hong Kong; PRAP in Japan; and Howorth Communications in Australia.
