Bohren Joins Powell Tate to Lead Healthcare Public Affairs

WASHINGTON, D.C.—Powell Tate | Weber Shandwick has hired Deborah Loeb Bohren as an executive vice president. Bohren joins the firm from WellChoice, where she was senior vice president of communications for the publicly traded Fortune 500 healthcare company. At Powell Tate, Bohren will focus on providing clients strategic public affairs counsel, as well as crisis management and corporate communications assistance.

At WellChoice, Bohren was responsible for the planning, development and implementation of strategically driven media and investor relations programs, coordinating government affairs activities at the federal, state and local levels and developing and executing public issue advocacy advertising and grassroots campaigns.

Bohren’s public policy and political experience also includes four years as district director for Representative Nita Lowey (D-NY). She also served as a senior official in the U.S. Office of Personnel Management in the Carter Administration.
