PARIS—Nicolas Bouvier, a French and EU public affairs expert and former executive vice president at Edelman, has joined APCO Worldwide as deputy managing director of the Paris office.

At Edelman, Bouvier led the expansion of the firm’s public affairs business in Paris, contributed to crisis and corporate communication work and was a member of the public affairs practice across Europe. He has been involved in major issues linked to mergers and acquisitions, restructuring and brand positioning.

Christopher Abboud joins APCO as an associate from Publicis Consultants, where he worked in the development and corporate campaign departments.
