PARIS—Nicolas Bouvier will succeed Philippe Maze-Sencier as managing director of APCO's Paris office. Maze-Sencier will assume new regional responsibilities following his promotion to executive director, with an immediate focus on India.
Bouvier is APCO’s former deputy managing director in Paris, having joined the firm in October 2010 from Edelman, where he led the expansion of the firm’s public affairs and crisis businesses in Paris. Bouvier’s experience includes communication around mergers, acquisitions and restructurings; brand positioning and coalition building; and lobbying and political campaigning before French public authorities.
Prior to joining Edelman, Bouvier was a managing partner with Communication & Institutions, a Paris-based public affairs consultancy and an affiliate of the Omnicom group, where he worked for 18 years.
Maze-Sencier served as managing director in Paris since October 2007, shoring up APCO's offer in the French market, growing the office to more than 20 consultants and putting APCO's extended international capabilities at the service of French business leaders.
While he will continue to be based in Paris and service French clients, Maze-Sencier’s new regional role as executive director will initially focus on India.
