Boyle to Head Communications at Sallie Mae

Sallie Mae, the nation’s leading provider of education funding, has named James Boyle vice president of corporate communications and brand marketing, a new position.

  RESTON, August 23—Sallie Mae, the nation’s leading provider of education funding, has named James Boyle vice president of corporate communications and brand marketing, a new position. Boyle will manage the company’s internal and external communications efforts while developing and overseeing its brand marketing and advertising. He will report to Kathleen deLaski, the company’s senior vice president and chief communications officer.
 
Most recently, Boyle was vice president of marketing and communications for Worldgate, a provider of interactive TV solutions for the cable television industry. Previously, he has held senior marketing and corporate communications positions with Digital Focus, an e-commerce consulting company, and Discovery Communications.
