MUMBAI—Brunswick director Pradeep Rajasekharan has departed the firm for a senior comms role at Franklin Templeton Investments.

Rajasekharan has been named communications director for India, Middle East and Africa at Franklin Templeton, one of the world's largest asset management groups.

He returns to Mumbai from Dubai, where he spent the latter part of his two-year Brunswick tenure, after initially joining the firm's London office.

Rajasekharan arrived at Brunswick in early 2012, following a four-year stint as marketing at communications head at JP Morgan Asset Management in India. Prior to that, he spent almost seven years at Hanmer MSL.

At Brunswick, Rajasekharan worked across the firm's financial services clients, focusing in particular in India. The firm recently hired former Pearson India president Khozem Merchant to lead its long-awaited entry into India.

At Franklin Templeton, Rajasekharan reports to global comms head Lisa Gallegos, who is based in the company's global HQ in San Mateo, California.
