LONDON—Brunswick Group topped mergermarket’s pan-European league table of mergers and acquisitions public relations advisers by value for the first quarter of 2006, advising on 37 deals worth €156.8 billion, while Financial Dyanmics held on to first place in terms of deal volume, advising on 47 transactions worth €58 billion.
Brunswick led the value ranking by a wide margin, with second placed Finsbury working on deals worth slightly more than €100 billion. M Communications (up from ninth in 2005), Financial Dynamics, and U.S. firm Kekst & Company rounded out the top five.
In terms of value, FD beat out Brunswick, with Finsbury, Citigate and Maitland filling the other top spots.
In the U.K., Brunswick was the leader by value, ahead of Finsbury again, while FD was the leader by volume. In Germany, Brunswick led by both value and volume. In France, M Communications was the leader by value, while Brunswick was the volume leader. In Italy, Barabino & Partners was the leader in both rankings.
