Brunswick Names Ferguson as Partner in D.C.

Brunswick Group has hired Rodney Ferguson as a partner in its Washington, D.C., office. Ferguson, a former managing director and principal of Lipman Hearne, brings more than 20 years of experience.

WASHINGTON, D.C.— Brunswick Group has hired Rodney Ferguson as a partner in its Washington, D.C., office. Ferguson, a former managing director and principal of Lipman Hearne, brings more than 20 years of experience in journalism and communications and will primarily focus on public affairs issues and developing communications strategy.

 

At Lipman Hearne, Ferguson provided strategic counsel to a wide range of clients, including The Brookings Institution, the U.S. Department of Education, RAND, Scholastic Inc., and the National Children's Medical Center. He is currently serving as an advisor on the board for the Education Writers Association and GuideStar, is an advisor on crisis communications to the American Council on Education, and is active in educating industry groups about new developments in education and non-profit communications.

 

Prior to joining Lipman Hearne, Ferguson worked with PricewaterhouseCoopers as a management consultant. Earlier in his career, he spent three years as a journalist in the D.C. bureaus of The Wall Street Journal and The (Cleveland) Plain Dealer.
