Buddendeck to Lead Global Communications and CSR at Nissan

Alan Buddendeck, vice president of corporate communications for Nissan North America, has been appointed corporate vice president, global communications, CSR and global brand communications for Nissan Motor Co.

TOKYO—Alan Buddendeck, vice president of corporate communications for Nissan North America, has been appointed corporate vice president, global communications, CSR and global brand communications for Nissan Motor Co.

 

Buddendeck joined Nissan in May of last year after serving as senior director, global public relations and corporate communications, for Motorola Mobile Devices, where he was responsible for global public relations focused on business strategy, brand communications and reputation management, investor relations and financial, employee and crisis communications. 

 

Prior to that role, Buddendeck was global director of brand communications for Motorola's Semiconductor Products business in Austin, Texas.  And before joining Motorola in 1997, Buddendeck worked in marketing andcorporate communications with NCR Corporation; Aggregate Technologies; Alan Joseph & Company; and Dayton Newspapers.

 

Hitoshi Kawaguchi, senior vice president, will now be responsible for external and government affairs and intellectual asset management.
